What You Need to Know

KEEP AWAY FROM SMALL CHILDREN! Contains small parts and may be considered a choking hazard!

Many things are thought of when considering my inlay bands. From the materials used to alloys and design. Consideration of every option is key to production. Here are common result expectations & explanations why when selecting your material.

All material is selected for the best performance by me, consideration is always taken before finalizing style. Whether it be the vast selection of authentic material or one of my custom inlay styles, attention to the detail is key for these as well as future styles.

*Noteworthy - Do not rub with iron solvents or harsh chemicals, avoid containing Ammonia water, due to lighting conditions, color may also vary from stock photo as no two rings are the same.

Authentic Material

In short, authentic material is what it is, authentic. This being said, certain minerals display different colors, vibrance & luster when placed in one of our Premium Inlay Bands.

The reason for this is due to the process of creating the inlay material itself. All authentic material is processed right here with EDDIE Co. and with that, the best is picked out. Even though the best is picked out, when you process the material, it sometimes alters the vibrance that material once held due to crushing the volume. This creates smaller pieces in which the mineral once was, therefore, making some look less vibrant & others may be not so UV reactive.

However, due to our acrylic, this will also make the rings look more vibrant. In any case, I assure you that our authentic material is just that, AUTHENTIC and I am proud to make such beautiful minerals available to you in my Inlay Bands.

Synthetic/Lab Created Material

The epic battle between real/fake. Let me just explain to you when you see Synthetic or Lab created, this does not mean this is “fake” in part, it’s very real. These materials whether a Diamond or Opal etc. have been created and grown in a Lab to be the best that particular mineral can be, every element is almost the exact same to the authentic. Take Opal for example. Opal is comprised of Silica. Well, Lab created Opal is 80% Silica while the remaining 20% is resin to fuse the mineral together as its grown layer by layer. So you can see how the battle is ever ongoing. but to each their own when wearing your jewelry. Most go with what looks great and appeals to them.

In short, Lab created minerals are beautiful, created to never dull, yellow, fracture, etc. etc. and the plus side is this will cut down on the underground market for blood minerals as well as make things more affordable.

Argentium Fine Silver .960

The main difference between Argentium and sterling silver is their composition. Sterling silver is a popular alloy in jewelry making which comprises of a mixture of pure silver and other alloys. Argentium, however, contains a greater amount of pure silver depending on the grade (935 which contains 93.5% pure silver, or 960 which contains 96% pure silver), with the remainder being made up of other alloys, such as a small amount of germanium.

This unique addition of germanium gives Argentium silver beneficial attributes such as fire stain resistance, improved durability and also a higher melting point, which translates to a higher annealing temperature and flow point. Additionally, Argentium silver can be fused and welded much easier than sterling silver which means it is often favored by metalsmiths. It is also seven times more tarnish resistant that sterling silver.
